In Psalm 7:9 we see yet another characteristic of God, "for you, who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers are a righteous God."
The Psalms are full of calls to action. God is showing us how to partner with Him as we go through life, especially in those difficult seasons. We also have the example of David here as he openly partners with the Lord. God uses life's circumstances, events, people, places, and things to bring us to a place of greater maturity IF we allow Him. He will teach us how to be and continue to walk in the fruit of the Holy Spirit - regardless - of how we feel as we continue to trust in him, like David.
